Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming Telugu-language romantic drama has been locked for release on April 5, setting a clash with Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 that is set to hit theatres on the same day.

The makers of Family Star, also featuring Divyansha Kaushik, announced the release date of the movie with a poster of Deverakonda on Friday. The actor himself shared the poster on his social media handles.

Deverakonda, who was last in Kushi alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is running through the streets in the new poster. Clad in a t-shirt and a lungi, the actor is holding a letter between his teeth and looking intense.

Directed and penned by Parasuram, Family Star is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

On the other hand, Jr NTR-starrer Devara: Part 1’s release date was announced last year by the makers. Also featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in key roles, a first glimpse of Jr NTR’s action drama, which sees the actor’s bloodthirsty avatar, was released through a teaser on January 8.

Directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the first part of the Devara will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
