Actress Vidya Balan is set to star in romance drama Do Aur Do Pyaar alongside Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy, production company Applause Entertainment announced on Wednesday, sharing a motion poster of the upcoming film.
“This season, let love surprise you, confuse you, consume you. #DoAurDoPyaar releasing in cinemas on 29th March, 2024,” the makers wrote alongside the poster on Instagram.
The Shirsha Guha Thakurta-directorial will be jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Swati Iyer Chawla under the banners of Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment.
The screenplay of Do Aur Do Pyaar is developed by Suprotim Sengupta and Eisha Chopra.
Vidya had teased the announcement using a cryptic emoji-based social media post on Tuesday.
“Do aur do milenge. Pyaar ke raaz khulenge. (When two and two unite, the secrets of love will be unveiled) Tomorrow at 11 am, wait for it,” wrote the 45-year-old actress on Instagram.
Do Aur Do Pyaar marks a comeback for Ileana after her last big-screen appearance in Anees Bazmee’s Pagalpanti in 2019.
While Pratik Gandhi was last seen in ZEE5’s Atithi Bhooto Bhava opposite Jackie Shroff and Sharmin Segal, Sendhil Ramamurthy last appeared in the fourth instalment of Jeremy Carver’s American superhero television series Doom Patrol.
Do Aur Do Pyaar is slated to hit the theatres on March 29.
