Vidya Balan is set to make a comeback in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, set to be released in Diwali, confirmed Kartik Aaryan on Monday in an Instagram post, leaving fans thrilled at the prospect of witnessing the return of “OG Manjulika” to the big screen.
The Instagram post of Kartik, who played the leading man in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, features a video showcasing memorable scenes from Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and its sequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). The video also includes glimpses of Vidya Balan’s portrayal of Manjulika as she is shown dancing to the haunting tune of Aami Je Tomar as well as Kartik in his role as Rooh Baba.
“And its happening Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of BhoolBhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya This Diwali is going to be crackling #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 ,” the Satyaprem Ki Katha actor wrote alongside the video.
In January, T-Series, the film’s production house, had teased the upcoming project by sharing a picture featuring Bhushan Kumar, Anees Bazmee and Kartik. “The third installment of your favourite horror-comedy franchise is set to go on floors this March. #BhoolBhulaiyaa3,” they had written in the caption.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which also featured Tabu and Kiara Advani in key roles, was a standalone sequel to the 2007 psychological horror comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya.
