Chaos ensues after a CD containing intimate moments of Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky and his new bride Vidya, played by Triptii Dimri, goes missing in the trailer of upcoming comedy-drama Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, dropped by the makers on Thursday.

The Raaj Shaandilyaa-directed film, also starring Mallika Sherawat and Vijay Raaz, is set to hit theatres on October 11.

Dropped by T-Series, the three-minute-32-second-long trailer opens with Vicky, a middle-class henna artist, suggesting to his newlywed wife, Vidya, that they record their first night together so they can replay the magical memories even in their old age.

However, all hell breaks loose when Vicky discovers that the CD has been stolen. Vijay Raaz plays a police officer tasked with tracking down the thief of the CD player. Initially unimpressed by the triviality of the case, he becomes smitten with Mallika Sherawat’s character in the film. He even goes on to propose marriage to her, albeit unsuccessfully.

The crisis peaks when Vicky is accused of murdering the thief, and Vidya and the family receive a call demanding a ransom of Rs 2 lakh for the CD.

The trailer ends with Vicky and Vidya navigating through a dark graveyard to confront the thief and exchange money for the CD.

Packed with witty jokes and foot-tapping numbers scored by Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, the 1997-set film is billed as a rib-tickling family entertainer.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video also features Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Archana Patel, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in key roles.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Shaandilyaa, Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl and Vimal Lahoti.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is set to clash with Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra at the box-office.
