The poster shared by Amul shows Vicky, as Sam Manekshaw, facing the camera with a stick in one hand and holding a buttered slice of bread in the other. In the background, Indian Army jawans are seen raising their own buttered slices of bread. The poster carries the title "Sam MaskaShaw".

Sam Bahadur marks Vicky's second collaboration with director Meghna Gulzar following the critically acclaimed Raazi (2018). The biopic delves into the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, whose illustrious career in the Indian Army spanned over four decades. Notably, he achieved the historic milestone of becoming the first Indian Army officer promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.

Released alongside Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, Sam Bahadur has been able to hold on to its fort amidst the tsunami unleashed at the box office by the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed actioner. The Vicky-starrer has earned Rs 29.05 crore nett in India so far.
