Vicky Kaushal completes 12 years in Bollywood, thanks fans: ‘Nothing is overnight

Vicky is set to star in the upcoming romcom Bad Newz alongside Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk

Actor Vicky Kaushal on Wednesday reflected on his 12-year-long journey in Bollywood, thanking fans for the love and blessings he has received over the years.

Sharing a picture of himself from one of his auditions as a budding actor twelve years back and another showing him surrounded by fans at a promotional event for Bad Newz recently, Vicky wrote, “This day, 12 years apart… nothing is overnight. Ever so grateful for all your love and blessings.”

Bollywood celebrities took to the comments section to shower Vicky with love and praise. “Yaar 🥹❤️,” Ranveer Singh wrote. Ayushmann Khurrana and Mithila Palkar dropped heart emojis. “Just Akhil Chadha things… always growing vadda,” Karan Johar’s Dharma Movies commented.

While Huma Qureshi dropped clapping emojis, Mrunal Thakur wrote, “My heart is so happy for you @vickykaushal09.”

Vicky’s electrifying moves and sizzling chemistry with Triptii Dimri in Bad Newz song Tauba Tauba have been making headlines recently, with the music video garnering over 39 million views on YouTube within a week of its July 2 release.

Reels and photos set to the Karan Aujla-sung track have also been winning the internet lately, with fans going gaga over Vicky’s charm and dance moves.

Backed by the makers of Raj Mehta’s Good Newwz (2019), Bad Newz is directed by Anand Tiwari. Touted as ‘a comedy based on true events’, the film is produced by Amazon Prime in association with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective.

Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari serve as the producers of Bad Newz, while the screenplay is developed by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja.

Bad Newz wrapped up shooting last year and was originally titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam. Also starring Ammy Virk, the film is slated to hit the screens on July 19.
