It's a wrap for Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur, a Meghna Gulzar-directed biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, set for a December 1 release.
Vicky shared the news with his followers via an Instagram post on March 14 alongside a picture of him posing with Meghna.
“To be a part of this process to depict the life of a true legend. To Meghna, Ronnie, my brilliant co-actors, the incredible Team… to the Manekshaw Family, to the Indian Army and to the man, FM Sam H. F. J. Manekshaw, himself… Thank You!” the 34-year-old actor wrote.
Meghna, who had earlier directed Vicky in her 2018 directorial Raazi, shared a photo with the entire team of Sam Bahadur on Instagram, announcing the shoot wrap.
Vicky also teased a glimpse of the upcoming trailer on his Instagram story.
Sam Bahadur went on the floors in August last year. Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh play the roles of Manekshaw's wife Silloo and Indira Gandhi, respectively, in the upcoming film.
Bhavani Iyer, Gulzar and Shantanu Shrivastava have penned the script with Gulzar also serving as the lyricist for the movie. The music is scored by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Sam Bahadur will be released in theatres on December 1 this year.
