Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan-starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has crossed the Rs 50-crore milestone at the domestic box office, the makers announced on Monday, thanking fans for their love and support.
"Aapke pyaar ke aage, humara shukriya chhota hai! 🥹 Par yahi kahenge, ki aapke pyaar ne humara ❤️ jeeta hai. 🙏🏻 Pesh hai ek hatke kahani from the makers of Luka Chuppi and Mimi. ☺️," Maddock Films, the producers of the movie, wrote on Twitter.
The Laxman Utekar-directed romantic comedy has earned Rs 53.55 crore in 10 days, according to box office records.
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which hit theatres on June 2, had an average opening of Rs 5.25 crore nett. However, the film gradually picked up momentum and its earnings rose up to Rs 37.36 crore nett in the first week.
The rom-com remained steady at the box office in the second week too, minting Rs 3.42 crore nett on its second Friday, Rs 5.76 crore nett on second Saturday and Rs 7.02 crore nett on second Sunday.
Set in Indore, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke revolves around a married couple Kapil (Vicky) and Somya (Sara) who decide to get a divorce in order to qualify for a flat under a government scheme. However, a series of unfortunate events mar their plans.
The film also features Inaamulhaq, Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, Rakesh Bedi and Sharib Hashmi in important roles.
