Following the trailer launch of Vijay Sethupathi’s DSP and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Today, the makers of several other upcoming movies from the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look at some of them.

Vadhandhi (Tamil)

Amazon Prime Video dropped the trailer of its upcoming Tamil-language mystery thriller crime series Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie. Written, directed and created by Andrew Louis, the series stars S.J. Suryah, Sanjana, Laila, Nasser, Vivek Prasanna, Hareesh Peradi, Smruthi Venkat and Kumaran Thangarajan.

In the trailer, we see Vivek, a diligent cop, who takes charge of investigating the murder of a young girl called Velonie. Rumours surrounding her death threaten to damage Velonie’s image. Now, the police must wade through a web of half-truths and confusing leads to find truth. The series is produced by Pushkar and Gayatri.

Vadhandhi will stream on Amazon Prime Video from December 2.

Ennalum Ente Aliya (Malayalam)

Magic Frames released the motion poster of its highly-anticipated Malayalam-language romantic comedy film Ennalum Ente Aliya. Directed By Bash Mohammed, the film stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Siddique, Lena and Gayathri.

The film is said to be a comedy that highlights contemporary issues. In the film, a Muslim teenage film falls in love with a Hindu boy. In the motion poster, we see all the characters posing in different ways, indicating a conflict between them.

Custody (Telugu-Tamil)

The makers of Telugu star Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming 22nd film have unveiled the title and first poster of the film. The film is titled Custody and is billed as an action entertainer. It is a bilingual project, which will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.

In the poster, we see Naga Chaitanya holding up against several police officials who are pointing their guns at him. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also stars Arvind Swamy and Krithi Shetty in prominent roles.

Thimayya & Thimayya (Kannada)

Anand Audio released the official trailer of the upcoming Kannada film Thimayya & Thimayya. Helmed by Sanjay Sharma, the film features Anant Nag, Diganth, Aindrita Ray, Shubra Aiyappa and Vineeth Beep Kumar among others.

The trailer shows a young boy and his confusing life. He is engaged to a woman and dreams of moving to Lisbon and settling there. However, his grandfather is always playing an untuned trumpet and making trouble. Both of them end up creating a cafe, which was the dream of his grandfather.

Thimayya & Thimayya will hit the cinemas on December 2.

Matti Kusthi (Telugu)

Saregama Telugu dropped the official Telugu trailer of Matti Kisthi. Produced by Ravi Teja, the film is directed by Chella Ayyavu. It stars Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles. The film will also be released in Tamil as Gatta Kusthi.

The trailer follows a young kabaddi player whose family is looking for a bride for him. We are also introduced to a rebellious young woman, who beats up bad guys. Their families arrange their marriage and they are attracted to each other. However, the man now has to compete in a mud wrestling tournament to prove his worth to the family of his wife.

Matti Kusthi will hit the theatres on December 2.
