Janhvi Kapoor’s IFS Suhana Bhatia, India’s youngest deputy high commissioner, vows to investigate the leak of confidential information from the London embassy while dealing with treason allegations and death threats in the trailer of Sudhanshu Saria’s upcoming political thriller Ulajh, dropped by production house Junglee Pictures on Tuesday.

The two-minute-and-27-second-long trailer begins with Janhvi’s Suhana, an IFS officer, being appointed as the country’s youngest deputy high commissioner. Despite her stellar academic background, Suhana faces accusations of nepotism from other diplomats including a senior official (played by Adil Hussain), who finds her achievement more unusual than remarkable.

Shortly after being posted at the Indian embassy in London, news of confidential information being leaked, casting suspicion on everyone until further verification.

Meanwhile, Gulshan Devaiah's character threatens Suhana to hand over some documents, but the young diplomat refuses to compromise her nation’s unity and integrity. Suhana conducts a background check on an influential person in the embassy. As her presence begins to threaten the corrupt officials in the embassy, her safety is jeopardised, and Suhana suddenly disappears.

Accused of treason by Meiyang Chang’s antagonist, Suhana realises she is embroiled in a political conspiracy. The trailer concludes with her resolving to put up a fight against the perpetrators.

The video also features Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang and Jitendra Joshi in key roles.

Produced by Vineet Jain and Amrita Pandey, Ulajh is slated to hit the theatres on August 2.
