Aakash Aath has come up with two new television shows, Chatterjee Barir Meyera and Anupamar Prem as the latest additions to the Sahityer Shera Somoy series. Both the shows are inspired by the literary brilliance of eminent Bengali authors, Samaresh Majumdar and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay respectively.

Chatterjee Barir Meyera delves into the lives of the Chatterjee family, focusing on two strong women — Titir, a young aspiring actress, and Ranjana, a housewife breaking free of societal norms to carve a professional identity. The show portrays the struggles, aspirations, and emotional journey of a middle-class family caught between traditional values and modern ambitions.

The storyline of Chatterjee Barir Meyera reflects the essence of today’s society, where generational conflicts and individual desires form powerful narratives. Each character brings a unique perspective, making it relatable and thought-provoking. Sneha Deb and Payel Dutta, who are playing the characters of Titir and Ranjana headline the cast of Chatterjee Barir Meyera. Directed by Sushanta Basu, the serial also features Mousumi Saha, Debashis Raychowdhury, Bimal Giri, Asmita Mukherjee, Barnini Chakraborty and Shubhankar in prominent roles.

Anupamar Prem is a tale set in the late 19th century. The story throws light on the journey of Anupama, a young woman torn between love and societal expectations. The show gradually brings to life a complex love triangle involving Anupama, her childhood fiancé Lalit, and Suresh, the man she truly loves. As the narrative unfolds, the viewers will witness a bold clash of emotions, traditions and personal aspirations. Actors Bias Dhar, Arya Dasgupta and Raj Sen, comprise the lead cast of Anupamar Prem. Directed by Madan Gopal Sau, the series also features Subhrajit Dutta, Moumita Dutta, Sumita Chatterjee, Priyanka Acharya, Nilotpal Banerjee, Kaushik Bhattacharya and others.

 Chatterjee Barir Meyera airs on Aakash Aath, every Monday to Saturday at 7pm whereas Anupamar Prem airs every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm.
