Triptii Dimri, Wamiqa Gabbi, Kartik Aaryan and Sanjana Sanghi were among the celebrities who joined Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh for the premiere of their biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila in Mumbai recently. Here’s a look.
Parineeti Chopra, who essays the role of Amarjot Kaur in the biographical drama, wore a black kurta embroidered with pink floral motifs and paired it with matching straight pants, a quirky golden choker and black stilettos. Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the titular role, opted for a black blazer worn over a white shirt and pants. The red-and-black turban and checkered black-and-brown tie enhanced his looks.
Amar Singh Chamkila director Imtiaz Ali sported a black suit worn over a cream shirt. He paired it with a purple tie and a small broach. “Master storyteller who took us back to Chamkila era,” Netflix wrote alongside his picture on Instagram.
A.R. Rahman, who has served as the film’s music composer, looked dapper in a monochrome suit featuring floral motifs.
Kartik Aaryan, who recently visited Kolkata for the filming of Anees Bazmee’s upcoming horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, sported a black-and-grey striped shirt and black jeans.
Triptii Dimri attended the event in a black studded suit. The Animal actress wore her hair down and opted for a dewy makeup.
Sanjana Sanghi looked elegant in a multi-colour printed organza sari paired with a sleeveless green blouse and a statement choker.
Mohit Chauhan, who was accompanied by his wife Prarthna Gehlot at the screening, makes his acting debut as a local Punjabi singer in Amar Singh Chamkila song Baaja.
Wamiqa Gabbi showed up in a backless silver column gown. A pearl bedecked ear cuff and wavy tresses completed her look.
Avinash Tiwary attended the screening in casuals — a black half-sleeve shirt paired with black corduroy pants.
The cast and crew of Amar Singh Chamkila posed for a group picture during the screening.
