Trial By Fire

The trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Hindi-language limited series Trial By Fire is out. Directed by Prashant Nair, the show stars Rajshri Deshpande and Abhay Deol in lead roles alongside Rajesh Tailang, Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupam Kher, Ratna Pathak, Shilpa Shukla and Shardul Bharadwaj. It is based on the 1997 Uphaar Cinema tragedy which saw the loss of 59 lives after a fire broke out at the theatre in south Delhi.

The two-minute-four-second-long trailer follows Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, a couple who lost their two children to the tragedy. The series portrays their decades-long legal battle for justice.

Trial By Fire will arrive on Netflix on January 13.

Popcorn

Aditya Music unveiled the official trailer of the upcoming Telugu-language romantic comedy film Popcorn on Wednesday. Directed by Murali Gandham, the film stars Avika Gor and Sai Ronak in lead roles.

The two-minute-six-second-long trailer shows a boy and girl getting stuck in an elevator at a shopping mall due to a bomb threat. They soon start enjoying each other’s company and spend the time eating popcorn, drinking wine, dancing and romancing.

Orchestra Mysuru

The Kannada-language musical film Orchestra Mysuru finally gets a release date. Helmed by Sunil Mysuru, the film, backed by Raghu Dixit Productions, stars Dileep Raj, Mahadeva Prasad and Nagabhushana in lead roles. Raghu Dixit himself has composed several songs for the film, which also features Ravi Hunsur, KJ Sachu, Rajesh Basavanna, Lingaraju and Mahadeva Prasad.

In the two-minute-41-second-long trailer, we get to see an aspiring singer who is set to join a well-known orchestra in Mysore. However, he falls out with the promoter of the orchestra and then starts to assemble his own orchestra.

Orchestra Mysuru will arrive in the theatres on January 12.

The Consultant

Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday shared the official teaser for its upcoming dark comedy series The Consultant. The workplace thriller show is created by Tony Basgallop and is based on the novel of the same name by Bentley Little. It stars Christoph Waltz, Brittany O'Grady and Nat Wolff in lead roles.

The one-minute-20-second-long teaser introduces us to Regus Patoff (Waltz), who is a business consultant and seems fairly eccentric. It also maintains a dark tone throughout.

The Consultant will be streaming on Prime Video from February 24.
