Hansal Mehta’s Scoop narrates the journey of a crime reporter Jagruti Pathak and her supposed involvement in the murder of another journalist Jaideb Sen, thrusting her into a nexus of police investigation and media trial. Besides the engaging storytelling, the show apprises the audience with a realistic insight into the life of a journalist and the myriad uncertainties involved in the profession. Truly a wonderful series! Packed with piquant dialogues and top-notch cinematography, I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons of Asur. Kaala Paani narrates the tale of a mysterious disease enveloping the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the race against time to discover its remedy. The mastery with which the director captured an array of emotions amidst the life-altering tragedy, was remarkable. (Which were your Top 3 Hindi web series of 2023... December 31)

Jubilee was a tribute to the golden era of Hindi cinema. Retro looks, melodious songs and excellent performances by Wamiqa Gabbi, Prosenjit and Siddhant Gupta will be remembered for a long time. Next was The Railway Men which depicted the story of the dreadful night of the Bhopal gas leak. Exceptional performances by Babil Khan and Divyenndu along with other big names were worth watching. Scoop was also a real-life story based on the life of crime journalist Jigna Vora. Fantastic performances by Karishma Tanna and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub made this Netflix series enjoyable.
