The Whale
Sony LIV is going to stream Darren Aronofsky’s psychological drama The Whale, which got two Oscars at the 95th Academy Awards. Brendan Fraser won best actor award, while Adrien Morot, Judy Chin and Anne Marie Bradley picked up the best makeup and hairstyling award.
Apart from Fraser, the film also stars Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins and Samantha Morton. The plot follows a reclusive English teacher with morbid obesity who tries to restore his relationship with his teenage daughter.
The Whale will be streaming exclusively on Sony LIV from March 16.
Gaslight
Disney+Hotstar on Tuesday unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming psychological drama film Gaslight. Directed by Pavan Kirpalani, the film stars Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey, Chitrangda Singh, Akshay Oberoi and Rahul Dev.
The two-minute-10-second-long trailer introduces us to Misha (Sara), a young woman confined to a wheelchair. She returns to her family’s royal estate after 15 years at the behest of her estranged father, only to learn that he has gone missing. Along with Rukmini (Chitrangda) and Kapil (Vikrant), Misha tries hard to dig out the truth, which is buried deep within a mountain of secrets.
Gaslight will arrive on Disney+Hotstar on March 31.
Kanjoos Makhichoos
Zee5 dropped the official trailer of its upcoming comedy-drama film Kanjoos Makhichoos on Monday. Helmed by Vipul Mehta, the film stars Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin and the late Raju Srivastav.
The two-minute-13-second-long trailer follows the life of Jamnaprasad Pandey (Kemmu) who sends his parents on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath. But when the parents along with other pilgrims go missing after a natural calamity, the government announces Rs 7 lakh for each missing person. However, a local politician tries to take a cut and Jamnaprasad must take him on.
Kanjoos Makhichoos will be streaming on Zee5 from March 24.
Hunter
Amazon miniTV shared the official trailer of its upcoming action thriller web series Hunter on Tuesday. Directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, the series stars Suniel Shetty, Esha Deol, Rahul Dev, Smita Jayakar, Barkha Bisht, Karanvir Sharma, Pawan Chopra, Mihir Ahuja, Siddharth Kher, Harssh A Singh, Enakshi Ganguly and Teena Singh.
The one-minute-57-second-long teaser gives us a flashback of Suniel Shetty’s character who had a happy family life once. He is now a seasoned criminal in Mumbai’s infamous underworld. He is chased by a cop played by Rahul Dev. Hunter will arrive on Amazon miniTV on March 22.
