The trailer for Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War, dropped on Tuesday, gives us a glimpse into the lives of a set of Indian scientists who raced against time to come up with the country’s own COVID-19 vaccine in the face of media criticism.

The three-minute-long trailer introduces Nana Patekar’s character who leads a group of scientists engaged in developing the vaccine, which would be known as Covaxin, as part of a top-secret project. Pitted against him is Raima Sen’s journalist who believes that India wouldn’t be able to come up with the vaccine.

Dubbed as India’s first bio-science film, The Vaccine War will arrive in theatres on September 28.
