Arnold Schwarzenegger appears with grey hair in a photo with Alan Ritchson from the sets of The Man with the Bag, an upcoming holiday family comedy in which the veteran actor will play Santa Claus.

Announcing that the filming for the movie has officially begun, Amazon MGM Studios wrote on X, “Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson are officially on set for #TheManWithTheBag. Production has begun!”

In the picture, The Terminator star taps into the holiday spirit and dons a red trench coat with a printed muffler wrapped around his neck. His grey hair further adds to his Old Saint Nick look.

“When Santa's magic bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him get it back,” reads the official synopsis of the film on IMDb.

Schwarzenegger took to Instagram and wrote, “Santa Claus is coming to town!” Expressing his excitement to work with Reacher star Alan Ritchson, the 77-year-old actor wrote, “It is fantastic to be shooting The Man with the Bag with @alanritchson.”

Filmmaker Adam Shankman, known for his films like A Walk to Remember, Hairspray and Rock of Ages, is one of the “funniest directors” he has ever worked with, Schwarzenegger said in his note.

“New York City is an amazing host, working with @amazonmgmstudios is a joy, and I can’t wait to share all of this Christmas cheer with each and every one of you,” the former California governor concluded his note.

While Schwarzenegger last starred in the live-action television series FUBAR as CIA operative Luke Brunner, Ritchson was recently seen in Ordinary Angels and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Ritchson will also serve as one of the producers of The Man with the Bag. Allan Rice is in charge of the screenwriting.

Schwarzenegger also has David Sandberg’s martial arts comedy Kung Fury 2 in the pipeline. The Man with the Bag, however, is not his first holiday film. In 1996, he headlined the Christmas family comedy Jingle All the Way alongside David Adkins.
