The much-anticipated second part of the K-drama recently finished airing and it might just be an understatement to say that it left us reeling. Song Hye-kyo’s Dong-eun finally metes out her revenge plans to all her bullies but there’s hint of more, with Joo Yeo-jeong (Lee Do-hyun) yet to punish his father’s killer. 4. The World of the Married

This 2019 K-drama is one of the highest rated K-series of all time and rightly so. What follows is a series of increasingly tension-filled situations where Seon-u tries to rebuild her family, seek revenge and also, make her husband pay. The plot for this K-drama is taut with multiple incidents and grey tones to everyone’s characters. It is a riveting, watch not only for the plot, but also for the intricate characterisation.

5. Eve

Seo Ye-ji shines in a powerful performance as the charming Lee La-el in her comeback K-drama, Eve. La-el is the daughter of a scientist who had been wrongfully murdered by the fictional LY Group, one of the biggest corporates of South Korea. 6. Reflection of You

Another female centric K-drama, this one stars Shin Hyun-been of Hospital Playlist fame as Jeong Hui-ju, an art teacher who strikes up a bond with Jeong Hee-joo (Go Hyun-jung), a successful painter but with past wounds that involves a death from her youth. A definite slow burn, the details of the murder are revealed only at the very end of the series.
