When it comes to the OTT space, few are smashing it as hard as Raj & DK. They are the chosen ones to direct the Indian spin-off of Citadel that will simultaneously have the Russo Brothers directing Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the English version of the enthralling and action-packed spy series. Set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, Raj & DK have signed on Varun Dhawan for the actor’s OTT debut, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently joining the cast.

Ajay Devgn

After putting his money on The Great Indian Murder, with Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi leading a strong ensemble cast in this Disney+Hotstar series set to stream in February, Ajay Devgn jumps on to the streaming bandwagon as actor with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. The Indian adaptation of the smash-hit British drama Luther sees Devgn slip into the shoes of the character (the gritty John Luther) played by Idris Elba in the original that played out over five seasons. “Playing a cop on screen is not new to me, but this time the character is more intense, complex and dark. What drew me most to his persona is that he is possibly the greyest character you may come across in recent times,” is how Devgn described his character when the series was announced. Rudra also stars Esha Deol and Raashii Khanna.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor has gone on record to state that he’s “nervous” about his digital debut. But the actor has little to fear considering he’s in the able hands of Raj & DK, the men behind Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man. The quirky thriller (according to sources, the makers have zeroed in on the title ‘Fakes’) has Raashii Khanna and the formidable Vijay Sethupathi as part of the cast.

Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit plays a global superstar on the run in a thriller series produced by Karan Johar. Finding Anamika, the first look of which has the dazzling Dixit looking like a million bucks, has piqued our interest already. The Netflix series also stars Manav Kaul.

Aditya Roy Kapur

The handsome Aditya Roy Kapur, stepping in after Hrithik Roshan bowed out, has big shoes to fill in the Indian adaptation of The Night Manager, based on the John le Carre classic that focuses on the

cat-and-mouse dynamic between a covert agent and a secret arms dealer. Aditya reprises the part played by Tom Hiddleston in the highly acclaimed original, which will, in all probability, have Anil Kapoor essay the role played by Hugh Laurie.

Sonakshi Sinha

It’s been bubbling under for a bit now and we hope Fallen makes it to our screens this year. Directed by Reema Kagti, Fallen marks an OTT first for Sonakshi Sinha who plays a cop called Anjali Bhaati, and going by this picture, it’s quite a dabangg one, in this Amazon Prime Video series that is said to be based on real events. Sonakshi has described her character as one that she “had waited for a long a time.” “It was liberating to do a full-blown web series in which I have a great role. I didn’t leave it because anyone would have grabbed it,” Sonakshi has been quoted as saying. What else has us excited? A cast comprising searing talents like Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma and Sohum Shah.
