The Hoichoi series Noshtoneer seems to have ticked all the right boxes for the viewers. Hoichoi has doubled its subscriber base with its latest social drama. The active monthly users on the platform along with the newly acquired users have taken Noshtoneer to become one of the top-viewed Originals, of all time, for Hoichoi.
The Aditi Roy-directed Noshtoneer is a social drama that narrates a story of a married woman devoted to the well-being of her family. Her life is suddenly shattered as her husband gets accused of a blasphemous incident. The series also has a stellar ensemble cast, comprising Sandipta Sen, Shoumo Banerjee as Aparna’s husband Rishab, Angana Roy as Godhuli, Anindya Chatterjee as Soumya, and Rooqma Ray as Namrata. The story, screenplay and dialogues of Noshtoneer are by Samragnee Bandopadhyay.
Sandipta Sen, while talking about the overwhelming response for Noshtoneer, said, "It's a surreal feeling for me. I am really grateful to the audience for pouring their love and making Noshtoneer such a grand success. After Bodhon, working with Aditi Roy and Hoichoi has been enthralling, and playing a character like Aparna, magnificently penned by Samragnee Bandopadhyay, was equally a challenge and a pleasure.”
With Noshtoneer now being one of the most-viewed-content on Hoichoi of all time, director Aditi Roy said, "We have seen our audience showing a lot of appreciation for our social dramas like Uttoron, Sampurna, Bodhon, and now, Noshtoneer, which deals with a tragic #MeToo case that shatters the lives of many. While making Noshtoneer, we wanted to be clear to not pass any judgements but rather showcase the dilemma and crises of the people whose lives get entangled because of a #MeToo post. Knowing that the series has become one of the top-viewed shows of all time on Hoichoi is the best gift we could have received, and it is all thanks to the immense love the audience keeps showering us with!”
“This is a passion project for me. I have always been excited about experimenting with myself as an actor and playing these powerful characters creates such a space every day," added Sandipta.
