Shiv Rawail’s limited series The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984 — starring R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Babil Khan and Divyendu Sharma — has made it to the list of top 10 most-watched Netflix shows globally for three consecutive weeks, the streaming platform announced on Thursday.
“There is just no stopping The Railway Men. The Railway Men is winning hearts worldwide 3 weeks in a row,” wrote Netflix India on its official Instagram page.
The show was ranked number 1 among top 10 shows on the streaming platform at the time this report was filed on Friday.
The series explores the catastrophic consequences of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, one of the world’s worst industrial disasters. Madhavan, Menon and Babil play Indian Railways employees who save the lives of thousands of residents following a chemical accident at a pesticide plant.
The Railway Men is the first production of Yash Raj Films’s streaming arm, YRF Entertainment. It also features Juhi Chawla Mehta and Mandira Bedi in important roles.
The series premiered on Netflix on November 18, 2023.
