Samadarshi Dutta’s new web series, Iti Memories, which streams on KLIKK soon, follows Mallar, in his late 20s, a non-residential Bong, who comes to Kolkata for the first time, in order to get married to Aheri, his girlfriend of many years.

Aheri has jokingly promised that she will be Mallar’s ‘tour guide’ in this 300-year-old city. But as fate would have it, moments before Mallar’s flight lands in Kolkata, Aheri meets with an untimely death in an accident.

Mallar’s life comes crashing down but he finds respite in the wedding gift Aheri has left for him. Five memory cards.

“These memory cards contain vlogs that Aheri has recorded about places and people in Kolkata, special to her...and it’s these vlogs that take Mallar on a journey through the nooks and crannies of this cosmopolitan city — from Chinatown to Central Avenue to Sonagachi. Even though Aheri is no more, these memory cards help him rediscover her and the city she loved so dearly and most importantly, him,” says Samadarshi.
