Vicky Kaushal’s “undisputed king” of bhajans gets abandoned by his adoptive family after his true religious identity is revealed through an anonymous letter in the trailer of The Great Indian Family.

Dropped on Tuesday, the one-minute-55-second-long trailer introduces Vicky’s character as a bhajan singer named Bhajan Kumar aka Ved Vyas Tripathi. The video begins with the actor giving off a part-rockstar-part-bhajan-singer vibe during his shows at various religious ceremonies, weddings and family events. However, the clip ends with Bhajan getting isolated from his adoptive family after an anonymous letter reveals his true religious identity to them.
