The Great British Baking Show, also known as The Great British Bake Off, is returning for its 15th season and will premiere on US Netflix on September 27, with new episodes dropping every week thereafter on Fridays.
“In news that is pure, perfect, great, and good — Great British Baking Show is back on Netflix in the US on September 27. New episodes premiering every Friday,” announced the streaming platform, sharing a teaser of the show on X on Thursday.
Like every season, 12 amateur bakers will step into the series’ iconic white tent and take on whatever challenges judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith have prepared for them. Comedian and actor Noel Fielding and TV presenter Alison Hammond will return to the show as hosts.
This season’s contestants include Andy, a 44-year-old car mechanic from Essex; Christiaan, a 33-year-old menswear designer from London; Dylan, a 20-year-old retail assistant from Buckinghamshire; Georgie, a 34-year-old pediatric nurse from Carmarthenshire; Gill, a 53-year-old senior category manager from Lancashire; Hazel, a 71-year-old former nail technician from Kent; Illiyin, a 31-year-old birth trauma specialist midwife from London; Jeff, a 67-year-old former university lecturer from West Yorkshire; John, a 37-year-old directorate support manager from the West Midlands; Mike, a 29-year-old farm manager from Wiltshire; Nelly, a 44-year-old palliative care assistant from Dorset; and Sumayah, a 19-year-old dentistry student from Lancashire.
Season 14 of The Great British Baking Show, which ran from September 26 to November 28, 2023, was won by 28-year-old PE and science teacher Matty Edgell from Cambridgeshire, with Dan Hunter and Josh Smalley finishing as the runners-up. Hunter is a civil engineering resource planner from Cheshire, while Smalley is a chemical biology post-doctoral research associate from Leicestershire.
