Mohit Raina’s Avinash Kamath teams up with Anupam Kher to go on an extraction mission to war-torn Syria to rescue an Indian girl from Islamic terrorists in the trailer of Disney+Hotstar’s Neeraj Pandey-directed action thriller series The Freelancer.

Dropped by the streamer on Wednesday, the two-minute-36-second-long trailer shows a girl getting married to a man and then moving abroad. However, that man turns out to be an Islamic terrorist who does not think twice before trapping his new bride in Syria.

The father of the girl, played by Sushant Singh, gets killed in an encounter soon after the girl goes missing. His friend Avinash Kamath (Mohit Raina) — a combat-trained mercenary known as The Freelancer in the international spy network — gets involved in the case to rescue the girl from the clutches of terrorist groups and reunite her with her family.

The action-packed trailer promises an edge-of-the-seat thriller.
