Director Arindam Bhattacharya is all set to start the shoot of his next Bengali feature film Durgapur Junction, starring Swastika Mukherjee and Vikram Chatterjee, soon. Set against the backdrop of the industrial town Durgapur, this film aims to unveil the mysteries around a series of serial killings and a desperate struggle of a journalist to go deep into the mystery with the help of a young strong-headed police officer. The film will be shot in Durgapur, Bolpur and Calcutta during June and July and is slotted to release in winter, 2023. Swastika Mukherjee plays the journalist while Vikram Chatterjee plays the police officer. The film also stars Ekavali Khanna, Rajdeep Sarkar and Pradip Dhar. Prosenjit Chowdhury is the DoP. “For a long time, I had wanted to make a film where I could show the investigation process in detail. Durgapur Junction is that film, which is based on a true story,” says Arindam.
