Kamaleswar Mukherjee has wrapped up the shoot of the film Ami Amar Moto, which stars Srabanti, Jeetu Kamal and Rajatava Dutta. Following the untimely death of his wife Chhaya (Rita Dutta Chakrabarty), Rashik (Rajatava Dutta) a man in his 60s becomes awfully lonely and disheartened. Meanwhile, their only son Upal (played by Jeetu Kamal), an engineering graduate working in the IT sector had to leave his father and go abroad to work for an MNC. In UK, he chases his aspirations to shape a ‘start-up’ venture while he befriends and starts living in with his partner Shayoni (Srabanti). Rashik starts developing a distance with his son whom he alleges to be neglectful towards his parents though Upal and Shayoni try desperately to bridge the gap. “Now, the quest for a rare photograph of his wife Chhaya, a prized possession for Rashik, makes Rashik travel abroad and confront his son Upal that interweaves a complex ‘father-son’ emotional fabric, the cornerstone of the simple non-linear narrative. While shooting the family film abroad and in India, as well, the unit itself became and behaved like a well-knit family that has supported me all the way. Brilliant performances by Ronyda, Jeetu, Srabanti, Rita di made my task easy,” said Kamaleswar.
