1. SERENDIPITY

Do you believe in fate? You will, once you watch this movie starring underrated romantic stars John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, who meet in the middle of the holiday blitz in snowy New York and instantly connect with each other. The story revolves around how they give fate the responsibility to decide their lives, which succeeds at the end of the movie.

2. WHEN HARRY MET SALLY

This Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan classic portrays seasons like fall, winter and New Year’s Day, revolving around two friends Harry and Sally, who keep running into each other year after year until they finally realise that they can be more than just friends. Watch out for the style quotient which consists of some chunky sweaters, boots, coats, and Meg Ryan nailing off-shoulder looks.

3. LITTLE WOMEN

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel, Little Women (both 1994 and 2019) will take you back to picturesque old New England and to the life of four young sisters with their dreams and challenges during that time, filled with white Christmases, feasts, frolicking and family.

4. BATMAN RETURNS

Being a great holiday action movie and a treat for the Batman fans, Batman Returns is set in Gotham city filled with Christmas vibes as Batman fights his nemesis along with Catwoman. Don’t miss the famous kiss of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle under the mistletoe.

5. HOME ALONE

Hasn’t everyone wanted their family to just disappear during their childhood? Well Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) made us relate to him when his family forgot to take him for holidays, making him face an adventurous battle with two dimwit thieves all by himself. Home Alone never disappoints.

6. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

To satisfy your sweet tooth cravings this holiday season, watch Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) starring Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka, based on Roald Dahl’s children’s novel about a chocolate factory owner and his love for chocolates as he finds his next successor for the factory.

7. Last Christmas

Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding take you to a rom-com which is a bit of a heart-wrenching journey of a Christmas filled with OG George Michael songs. Watch this for a good cry.

8. Harry Potter

A Harry Potter marathon will keep you cosy and make you believe in magic and friendship, as you walk down through the doors of Hogwarts filled with festive and holiday vibes.
