Elizabeth Debicki's Princess Diana struggles in the aftermath of her divorce from Prince Charles and her tragic death puts the British royal family in turmoil in the trailer for the first part of the upcoming Netflix drama series The Crown’s sixth and final season, dropped by the streamer on Thursday.

The two-minute-20-second trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the aftermath of Princess Diana's (Elizabeth Debicki) divorce from Prince Charles (Dominic West). It opens with Diana’s relentless struggle with paparazzi before delving into Diana’s fatal car accident and the grief experienced by her two sons, Prince Harry and Prince William. The video concludes with the iconic still of Diana in her blue swimsuit, giving us a reminder of how the people’s princess found it hard to maintain a semblance of privacy even after her high-profile divorce.

The Crown Season 6 will span the years 1997 to 2005, covering some of the most significant events in recent royal history. The season is set to be released in two parts, with the initial four episodes scheduled for release on November 16. The concluding six episodes will be released on December 14.

The ensemble cast of The Crown also includes Imelda Staunton portraying Queen Elizabeth II and Jonathan Pryce taking on the role of Prince Philip.
