The Boys Season 4 to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 13

The eight-episode season will stream in more than 240 countries

Season 4 of the popular superhero series The Boys is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 13, the streamer announced on Thursday alongside a poster featuring Antony Starr as the antagonist Homelander and Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman.

The Emmy-winning drama series will return with three episodes on June 13 followed by a new episode each week. The finale episode of The Boys Season 4 will be released on July 18. The eight-episode season will stream on Prime Video worldwide in more than 240 countries.

“In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late,” reads the official synopsis by Amazon MGM Studios.

The series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.

In Season 4, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will join the cast of The Boys.

Adapted from the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is produced by the comic creators, who also act as executive producers. It is developed by Eric Kripke, the show's executive producer and showrunner.

The Boys is a collaborative production of Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
