Filled with harmonica strains and retro vibes, The Archies teaser, dropped by Netflix at yesterday’s TUDUM event in Brazil, takes viewers down memory lane to the era of Rock & Roll with a set of young boys and girls enjoying life to the fullest in a hill station called Riverdale.

Zoya Akhtar’s much-anticipated Netflix film’s cast — Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina — attended the event in Sao Paulo and also put up an electrifying performance as they danced to the song Suno from the film.

“You’ve seen the gang in the comics, in books, and even in Riverdale — but this time around, you’ll see them closer to home! Set in the 60’s, The Archies builds a world that’s both familiar and new. Here’s your first look #TUDUM,” Netflix wrote on Twitter after sharing the one-minute-26-second-long teaser on Twitter.

Set in 1964 in Goa, the video promises an engaging tale about a gang of young friends. It opens with a train choo-choo-ing into a hill station named Riverdale and then shows a montage of young boys and girls who are busy with parties, music and outdoor adventures. The harmonica theme and the song Chhoona aasmaan playing the background indicate that the soundtrack of The Archies will have a vintage touch.

The Archies is based on a popular comic series of the same name about high-school student Archie Andrews and his friends, who reside at a fictional town called Riverdale and study at Riverdale High School.
