The Afterparty Season 2
Apple TV+ shared the official trailer for the second season of its American murder mystery comedy The Afterparty. Created by Christopher Miller, the series stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Elizabeth Perkins, Zach Woods, Paul Walter Hauser, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, John Cho and Ken Jeong.
The two-minute-38-second-long trailer shows a disastrous wedding ceremony where the bridegroom gets murdered and every guest becomes a suspect. Detective Danner (Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Zoë (Chao) solve the whodunnit.
The Afterparty Season 2 will be streaming on Apple TV+ on July 12.
Dhoomam
Hombale Films unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Malayalam-language psychological thriller film Dhoomam. Written and directed by Pawan Kumar, the movie stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead role alongside Roshan Mathew, Aparna Balamurali and Vineeth Radhakrishnan.
The two-minute-29-second-long trailer shows Fahadh Faasil’s character talking about making public service ads that play before every film. We are then thrust into a chase involving kidnapping, betrayal, violence and money. The video also introduces other important characters.
Dhoomam will arrive in cinemas on June 23.
Rafuchakkar
Jio Cinema on Wednesday evening unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming crime comedy series Rafuchakkar. Directed by Ritam Srivastava, the series stars Manish Paul in the lead role alongside Sushant Singh, Trupti Khamkar, Priya Bapat and Aksha Pardasany.
The two-minute-long teaser shows Manish Paul as a con man in five unrecognisable looks. He is seen conning people and taking their money. The character seems to target wealthy individuals during important social functions.
Rafuchakkar will be streaming free on Jio Cinema from June 15.
The Broken News New Season
Zee5 dropped the official teaser for the new season of its thriller series The Broken News. Created by Mike Bartlett and Sambit Mishra. It stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sonali Bendre, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Jay Upadhyay, Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Aakash Khurana and Kiran Kumar.
The one-minute-21-second-long trailer shows Dipankar Sanyal (Ahlawat), head of a new channel, talking about putting ‘anti-nationals’ leading other news channels behind bars. We see Ameena Qureshi (Bendre) and Radha Bhardwaj (Pilgaonkar), rival news heads languishing in jail, talking about exacting revenge on him.
