Following the trailer launch of Vijay Sethupathi’s Idam Porul Yaeval, Samantha’s Yashoda and Roshan Mathew’s Chathuram, the trailers and teasers of several other movies from the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries came out last week. Here’s a look at some of them.

Thangalaan (Tamil)

The makers released the title announcement video of Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming film Thangalaan. Written and directed by Pa Ranjith, the period drama also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi and Harikrishnan Anbudurai.

From the short teaser, it seems the story is based on an indigenous tribe in post-independence India. Produced by Studio Green, K E Gnanavel Raja and Neelam Productions, the music for the film has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.

Adrishyam (Malayalam)

The motion poster of Joju George’s upcoming Malayalam film was also released by the makers. Directed By Zac Harriss and produced by Siju Mathew, Navis Xavier, Rajadas Kurias, Lavan and Kusan, the film features Narain, SharafUDheen, Kayal Anandhi, Pavithra Lakshmi and Athmiya. It seems from the short teaser that the movie is going to be a thriller.

Adrishyam will hit the theatres in November.

18 Pages (Telugu)

The teaser of the upcoming Telugu romantic film 18 Pages. Written and directed by Sukumar and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, the film stars Anupama Parameshwaran and Nikhil Siddharth in the lead roles.

The trailer shows two individuals falling in love and eventually moving in together. However, their relationship hits rock bottom soon.

18 Pages will hit the theatres on December 23.

Raana (Kannada)

Ananda Audio shared the official trailer of its upcoming Kannada-language action entertainer titled Raana. Directed by R. Nanda Kishore and produced by Gujjal Purushotham under the banner of Gujjal Talkies, the film stars Shreyas Manju and Reeshma Nanaiah.

Revealing the criminal underbelly of Karnataka, the trailer introduces us to a world of violence and brutality. It focuses on the world inside prison and has the elements of love, family and friendly bonds.

Raana is slated to be released on November 11.

Thuvinu (Tamil)

The makers of Tamil star Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Thuvinu disclosed its date. Produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by H. Vidoth, the film also stars Manju Warrior, Samuthirakani and John Kokken.

Thuvinu will arrive in the cinemas on Pongal 2023.
