Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon showcase their sizzling chemistry by setting the dance floor on fire with robotic moves and thumkas in Laal Peeli Akhiyaan, a dance number from the actor duo’s upcoming movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha.

Dropped by T-Series on Friday, the three-minute-15-second-long music video introduces Shahid in a tuxedo and black shades, while Kriti looks gorgeous in a blue sari. It shows Shahid professing his love to Kriti, who is awed by his electrifying dance moves before coming up with her thumkas. The video also features Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, who makes a comeback to the big screen after his role in Karan Johar’s 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

Shahid and Kriti’s dance moves in Laal Peeli Akhiyaan sends out the same vibes as the eponymous track from Govinda and Raveena Tandon’s 2002 film Akhiyon Se Goli Maare film. It also resembles the What Jhumka track from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Show Me The Thumka from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

Sharing the music video on her Instagram page, Kriti wrote, “Killer moves, banger beats... get ready 'cause @shahidkapoor is here to raise the heat! .”

Touted as an “impossible love story”, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha is about the romance brewing between a robotics expert (Shahid) and a robot (Kriti). The upcoming movie derives its name from the 2004 song Teri Baaton by Raghav, a new version of which is expected to be incorporated into the film.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha marks the first collaboration between Shahid and Kriti. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was initially slated to release in October 2023. However, after facing several delays, it is finally releasing in theatres on February 9.
