Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s chemistry is palpable in the latest Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya song Tum Se, a romantic number dropped by the makers on Friday.

The two-minute-45-second-long music video shows the brewing romance between Shahid’s robotics expert and Kriti’s android humanoid robot. It begins with Shahid meeting Kriti’s Sifra for the first time in a foreign country and falling in love with her at first sight. Showcasing moments from their first date and first kiss, the music video tugs at our heartstrings.

However, the song ends on a grim note as Shahid feels shattered when he discovers that Kriti is a robot.

The video also features Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, who last appeared on the big screen in Karan Johar’s 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, headlined by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

The duo’s flirtatious moments coupled with steamy romance and family interactions makes Tum Se a perfect Valentine’s Day song. Sung by Sachin-Jigar, Raghav Chaitanya and Varun Jain, Tum Se is penned by Indraneel.

The soulful rendition occasionally includes live flute sounds played by Tejas Vinchurkar. Tracing the entire romantic journey of the couple, the love anthem also shows Shahid and Kriti’s haldi ceremony, hinting at their marriage in the film.

“Tum Se…kiran dhoop ki 🎶☀️ #TumSe Song Out Now! Link in bio. #TeriBaatonMeinAisaUljhaJiya in cinemas this Valentine’s week, 9th February 2024,” Shahid wrote alongside the music video on Instagram.

Previously, three songs from the film were released, all of which created a buzz among fans. While the first title Laal Peeli Akhiyaan gave the same vibes as the eponymous track from Govinda and Raveena Tandon’s 2002 film Akhiyon Se Goli Maare film, the second song Akhiyaan Gulaab was a reimagining of Mitraz’s indie song Gulaab.

The movie derives its name from the 2004 song Teri Baaton by Raghav, a new version of which will be incorporated into the film.

Touted as an ‘impossible love story’, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha is about the romance brewing between a robotics expert (Shahid) and a robot (Kriti).

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha marks the first collaboration between Shahid and Kriti. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film was initially slated to release in October 2023. However, after facing several delays, it is finally releasing in theatres on February 9.
