When Boomerang completed 25 successful theatrical days after its release on June 7, the cast and crew of the film caught up at Mug Shot Cafe to celebrate the occasion. Team Boomerang cut a themed cake which was blue in colour. The number 25 made in chocolate crowned the cake with pride.

Jeet dressed in a casual red tee with a green cap from Dsquared2, looked effortlessly charming as always. He said, “Boomerang has been an entertaining film that has connected with the audience very well. It is a film that will stay with all of us. I feel like I can only be humbled and grateful to all our viewers for loving the film this way. It has been 25 days but if the film would run for 75 more days then we could definitely do another celebration. I went to a theatre and watched the film for 40 minutes along with the audience so that I would know their reaction and the one thing that was constant was the smile on everyone’s face.”

Rukmini had the post-birthday glow and looked beautiful in a white shirt and denim. She said: “I think today’s celebration is for all of us. To get this kind of success and love for the film is surreal. As a team, we are very happy to see this moment. The way people have loved Boomerang is beautiful.”

The actress also spoke to t2 about her birthday. She said: “As usual I celebrated the birthday with my friends and family but the special part was that I celebrated it with my fans this year as well. I went and met those who supported me throughout the year. Considering the amount of love we have received for the film, this birthday is the most memorable one for me! The celebration of 25 successful days of the film also feels like an extension of my birthday. Now if you ask me what has been the biggest boomerang moment of my life it is this very moment where Boomerang has become such a huge success. I usually wear whatever my mum gets for me but this year my niece Amaira chose the clothes so I was wearing sequins and then a red gown. Then Amaira and I also twinned this one time! The crux is that you make memories. So, whoever is complimenting me on social media, all I have to say is that I look good because I am really happy and that is why the glow."

Saurav, who was in white and a denim tennis cap, sported the casual sporty look very well. He said: “To be a part of an extraordinary film like Boomerang and then to receive so much love from the audience is special. Boomerang is a film that is going to stay with us forever. Thank you to everyone who has always supported us and the film.”

“Boomerang has had a very successful run of 25 days and I hope it runs longer. Those who still have not watched the film, quickly go to the nearest theatre and watch it otherwise you will end up missing something very fun and entertaining,” said the director Sauvik Kundu.
