Taylor Swift’s ongoing The Eras Tour, which kickstarted in Arizona in March, will be adapted into a concert film and released in theatres, the singer-songwriter has announced.
Sharing a trailer of the documentary titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Concert Film, the 33-year-old singer wrote on Instagram, “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆.”
The Eras Tour, which has been extended till November 2024 with new locations across US and Canada, includes songs from Swift’s ten albums — Lover (2019), Fearless (2008), Evermore (2020), Reputation (2017), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), Folklore (2020), 1989 (2014), Evermore (2020) and Midnights (2022) — released over the course of her 17-year-long career.
“We are about to go on a little adventure together and that adventure is going to span seventeen years of music,” Swift said during an Eras Tour performance which also appeared in the trailer of the concert film. The film will contain highlights of the Eras Tour along with behind-the-scenes clips and insights into Taylor’s inspiration behind the tour.
The film is directed by Sam Wrench, who has previously worked with renowned musicians like Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and the Korean boy-band BTS.
Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Concert Film will be released in theatres in North America on October 13.
