The film amassed a whopping USD 6 million from tickets sold via advance booking in a day across North American cinema halls right after its US release was announced on August 31 — the highest-ever single-day advance booking collection in the 103-year history of AMC Theatres.

On September 26, the Blank Space singer took to her Instagram and announced the global release of her film. “The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theatres WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!” she wrote.

The Eras Tour, which has been extended till November 2024 with new locations across US and Canada, includes songs from Taylor’s ten albums — Lover (2019), Fearless (2008), Evermore (2020), Reputation (2017), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), Folklore (2020), 1989 (2014), Evermore (2020) and Midnights (2022) — released over the course of her 17-year-long career.

The film is directed by Sam Wrench, who has previously helmed concert films of renowned musicians like Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and the Korean boy-band BTS.

Taylor’s concert film will have at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at all AMC theatres in the US. It will also be screened at AMC Theatre’s European subsidiary ODEON Cinemas in Europe.
