Actress Tamannaah Bhatia marked nine years of S.S. Rajamouli's 2015 epic action drama Baahubali: The Beginning on Wednesday by dropping behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s shoot and revealing how the project fulfilled her long-held dream of working with the filmmaker.
“Nine years ago, my dream of working with @ssrajamouli sir became a reality,” wrote Tamannaah alongside the carousel on Instagram.
In her message, the 34-year-old actress expressed her gratitude to the cast and crew of the film. “Being a part of this movie alongside the amazing cast and crew was not only fun but also a significant learning experience. I’ll forever cherish the privilege of being part of this magnificent film franchise,” she wrote.
Tamannaah also thanked the audience for the continuous love they have shown to the film.
“Will always be thankful to the audience for all the love they gave our movie, then and now,” she concluded.
The carousel also includes behind-the-scenes photos that offer insight into the filming of an aerial sequence involving Prabhas and Tamannaah.
Baahubali: The Beginning features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Tamannaah. It is the first film of the duology that concludes with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017).
The film follows Sivudu (Prabhas), an adventurous young man who assists his love Avantika (Tamannaah) in rescuing Devasena (Anushka), the former queen of Mahishmati from the tyrannical rule of King Bhallaladeva (Rana Daggubati).
Released theatrically on July 10, 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year.
Baahubali: Crown of Blood — a new animated series from the franchise — is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
