Following their collaboration on Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, actress Taapsee Pannu and screenwriter Kanika Dhillon are set to reunite for Netflix film Gandhari, confirmed the streamer on Tuesday, sharing a teaser of the upcoming action thriller.
“The Hasseen writer-actor duo is back Kanika Dhillon and Taapsee Pannu return with an action thriller. Gandhari arrives soon, only on Netflix,” the streaming platform wrote on Instagram.
In the teaser, Taapsee is heard talking about the bond between a mother and her child. “They say a mother’s blessing is always around. But when it comes to her child, she will turn the world upside down,” her voiceover says in the video.
Directed by Devashish Makhija, the upcoming Netflix film will be produced by Kanika under the banner Kathha Pictures. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
Taapsee and Kaninka previously collaborated on Haseen Dillruba (2021) and its follow-up Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which dropped on the streaming platform on August 9.
Sunny Kaushal, who starred in Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, reacted to the post. “Kya baat hai haseenas,” he wrote in the comment section.
Taapsee was last seen in the comedy movie Khel Khel Mein alongside Akshay Kumar. The 36-year-old actress will also appear in Barath Neelakantan's sci-fi project Alien.
