The Good Nurse
Netflix has dropped the trailer of its upcoming crime drama The Good Nurse, starring Academy Award-winners Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne.
Directed by Tobias Lindholm and written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns, the film is based on the 2013 book of the same name by Charles Graeber.
The two-minute-52-second-long trailer gives us a sneak peek into the world of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of hospitals. Chastain’s Amy and Redmayne’s Charles are shown as friendly co-workers until the death of a critical patient. As law enforcement agencies begin their investigation, Amy is baffled by the news that Charles might be a serial killer. Amy now has to choose between her friend and her conscience.
The Good Nurse will be available to stream from October 26.
Rorschach
The makers of Mammootty-starrer Malayalam film Rorschach dropped its trailer on the eve of the south star’s birthday. Directed by Nisam Basheer and Written by Sameer, the upcoming film is a dark psychological thriller.
The movie is named after a psychological test which is conducted to determine the nature of a person. From the ominous trailer, it seems like the film is set against the backdrop of a slumbering town, which is jolted into alertness with the arrival of a stranger. There also seems to be an untimely death, which has affected the peace of people living in the town.
Tulsa King
Paramount Plus has released the trailer of its upcoming crime drama series Tulsa King starring Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone.
The series follows the story of Dwight “The General” Manfredi (played by Stallone), a New York mafia capo who upon being released from a 25-year prison sentence is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma. With his bosses no longer behind him, Manfredi sets out to build up his own criminal empire with a ragtag crew.
Created by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, the series also features Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Martin Starr, Domenick Lombardozzi and Vincent Piazza.
What’s Love Got to Do with It?
The makers of Shekhar Kapur’s upcoming directorial venture What’s Love Got to Do with It? have dropped its trailer. The romantic comedy stars Lily James and Shazad Latif in lead roles.
The two-minute-34-second-long trailer follows documentary maker and dating app addict Zoe (Lily James) as she films her childhood friend and neighbour Kaz (Shazad Latif), who opts for an arranged marriage to a bright and beautiful bride from Pakistan. Kaz’s hopeful journey from London to Lahore to marry a stranger plants questions in Zoe’s mind.
The film also features Emma Thompson, Rob Brydon, Shabana Azmi, Sajal Aly and Asim Chaudhry.
