Actress Swara Bhasker has taken a dig at Alia Bhatt over the latter’s recent appreciation for Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav by retweeting screenshots of the YouTuber’s unsavoury remarks against Swara in an old Twitter (now X) battle.
“Hello @aliaa08,This is Elvish Yadav, the person you're showering praise upon. Take a good look at his utterly reprehensible attitude towards women, how he shamelessly engages in $'exual h@rassm€nt directed at @ReallySwara,” read the tweet that Swara retweeted.
The screenshots shared in the tweet show Elvish passing sexually explicit and crude remarks against Swara during a war of words.
Alia found herself in the crosshairs of several netizens earlier this week after she praised Elvish during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram. In response to a question during the session, Alia gave a shoutout to Elvish by sharing two heart emojis and writing “Systummm” in her Instagram story.
Alia’s innocuous gesture led to a flurry of comments on social media questioning her action. Screenshots of the 2021 feud between Swara and Elvish resurfaced, with many social media users flaying Alia for praising Elvish.
Alia was recently in the centre of another controversy surrounding her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. In a video clip where Alia shared her makeup hacks, she mentioned that Ranbir would often ask her to remove her lipstick. Terming Ranbir’s behaviour as “toxic”, several internet users reprimanded his domineering attitude.
