Actress Swara Bhasker announced her engagement to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmad on February 16 through an Instagram video, laying out their love story that began at a Delhi protest march in 2020. 

For their engagement, Swara donned a simple red sari with a golden blouse and matched it with gold jewellery embellished with green stones. Fahad opted for the traditional white kurta-pajama, pairing it with a red jacket.
