SVF Music has come up with a musical initiative called ‘Banglar Gaan Indies’ to promote independent musicians and their works.

The first song under this initiative — Olper Porichoy — was released on February 21 on SVF Music’s YouTube page. The five-minute-long video celebrates the love story of Arnab (Mir Rahemin Rahim) and Trisha (Kiran Mazumdar). Sung by Debayan Banerjee, Olper Porichoy has been written and composed by Niladri Banerjee.

The audio version of the song had already been released on audio platforms a week prior to the video launch.

Debayan Banerjee sounded excited about working with SVF Music. “The industry hasn’t missed out on an opportunity to promote some really diverse talent, either by backing their audio and video recordings, or by giving them live opportunities,” he said.

Niladri Banerjee, who composed the song, said he would love to see their hard work being appreciated by the listeners.

SVF co-founder and director Mahendra Soni has expressed his optimism about introducing Banglar Gaan Indies to audiences. “We are trying to help new talents, be it singers, songwriters or music producers, so that they get exposure. The team has confidence that the audience shall enjoy the soothing melodies,” he said.
