Sushmita Sen’s daughter Renee performed live for the first time in a play attended by theatre veterans like actress-singer Ila Arun at Mumbai’s Royal Opera House, the Aarya star said on social media, sharing glimpses from the event.
“To witness @reneesen47 perform Live in her first ever Play, that too surrounded by stalwarts of Theatre…My heart is full. A very proud moment indeed for the entire family, friends & well wishers. As for me..I was simply overwhelmed,” Sushmita wrote on Instagram alongside a video that also features her parents and her former boyfriend Rohman Shawl.
The montage shows Sushmita, her parents and Roman wishing Renee before the performance. The video also captures Sushmita’s interactions with prominent theatre artists on the occasion.
In her note, Sushmita went on to praise the actors, the script, the setting and the direction, all of which provided for an immersive viewing experience. “I absolutely loved watching #HiddenAgendas. The humour in Writing, impressive Performances, Direction & the Production value…it all came together as one immersive experience,” the 48-year-old actress wrote, adding, “A BIG shout out to the entire Team of #hiddenagendas. You guys are inspiring & incredibly Talented.”
Produced by Raëll Padamsee's Ace, Hidden Agendas is directed by Karla Singh. The play stars Tannaz Irani, Sid Makkar, Varun Narayan, Dilnaz Irani, Gaurav Sharma and Renée Sen in key roles.
Renee, 24, was last seen in Kabeer Khurana’s short film Suttabaazi (2020). The storyline revolved around a 19-year-old social media star and clandestine smoker. The film also starred Komal Chhabria and Rahul Vohra in important roles.
