“I am healing beautifully” — a beaming Sushmita Sen said on Instagram live on Wednesday, talking about the intense “action stuff” she performed for Aarya Season 3 both before and after her heart attack that led to her hospitalisation earlier this year.

Sushmita hosted an Instagram live session from inside her car as she was returning home through the rain-soaked streets of Mumbai from an event, answering questions about her health and upcoming projects. Sushmita’s younger daughter, Alisah, also featured in the video as the actress greeted her fans in Bengali, Gujarati and Rajasthani.

Assuaging fans’ concerns about her recovery following a heart attack on March 2, which led to angioplasty, the 47-year-old actress said, “I have been healing beautifully” and assured everybody, “I’m taking good care of my health.”

Moved by all the love and warmth she received, the Main Hoon Na actress revealed that she was working on Aarya season 3 and her upcoming series titled Taali, which is based on the life and works of transgender activist Gauri Sawant.

The former Miss Universe also confirmed that the third season of her Disney+ Hotstar crime thriller series Aarya will be streaming this year. “Aarya 3 will come out this year, but we have to wait for the official announcement,” she said.

Co-created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi, Aarya is based on Dutch drama series Penoza. In the series, Sushmita plays the titular character, who has to take over his husband’s illegal business after his death to keep her two children safe. She has to battle crime lords and law enforcement agencies to flee the country and start a new life.

Apart from Sushmita, Aarya also stars Sikandar Kher, Ankur Bhatia, Alexx ONell, Namita Das, Vikas Kumar and Manish Choudhary. Last year, the Disney+ Hotstar series was nominated for International Emmy Awards for the best drama series.
