Actress Sushmita Sen on Saturday said she survived a heart attack despite 95 per cent blockage in her main artery because of timely medical intervention.

The Aarya star, who underwent an angioplasty at the Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in Mumbai recently, shared an update on her health and thanked her fans in a live video on Instagram.

“I survived a very big heart attack. It was massive — a 95 per cent blockage in the middle of an artery,” said the 47-year-old actress.

She thanked her consulting doctors saying, “These are all very busy doctors. Not one has my number saved but one phone call and they all picked up their phones and I got the opinions I needed on time.”

Thanking the ICU head of Nanavati Hospital, Dr Abdul Ansari, Sushmita said, “He saved my life more than once, so he’s making that a good habit. His entire ICU team, wonderful people.”

She revealed that she will be returning to the sets of Aarya to shoot the third season of the Disney+ Hotstar thriller series soon. “I am going to give you Season 3 like never before. Everyone is gonna have their hearts in their mouths, I am sure of that,” Sushmita cheekily said.

She went ahead and thanked all the friends and family who supported throughout the period. “These people went out of their way and did so many things for me.”

The former Miss Universe said that leading an active lifestyle helped her cope with the crisis in a better way.

She informed her fans that she has a sore throat because of a viral infection. Tearing up during the live session, Sushmita talked about the love and support she got from followers from all around the globe.

“I am a very loved girl. In the past two days I have had so much love come my way from every continent possible, my whole home looks like the Garden of Eden,” a glowing Sushmita shared.
