Transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant's first-ever stand-up comedy gig tickled the ribs of a packed house and helped create awareness about the third-gender community, shared Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen on Monday with a video clip of the performance.

In the three-minute-48-second-long video, we see stand-up comedian Prashasti Singh introducing Gauri to the audience at a comedy club before she takes the mic. The transgender activist effortlessly won the hearts of the audience with witty one-liners and personal anecdotes. Her jokes were aimed at increasing awareness about the myriad challenges faced by the transgender community on a daily basis.
Before concluding the unique performance, Gauri urged everyone present at the venue to watch Taali, which is currently available on JioCinema.
