Actress Sushmita Sen was ‘missing in action’ as her father Shubeer Sen recently underwent a surgery, she said in an Instagram live session on Saturday, adding that her dad was doing much better now.

“I've been missing from action for a bit because my father went through a surgery. I've been busy with all of that. He's doing much better now,” Sushmita said.

Shubeer Sen is a former Indian Air Force Wing Commander.

Sushmita also thanked fans for her best actress trophy at the E4M Play Streaming Awards for her performance in Taali. “Thank you guys. This is really really special. Big shoutout to the entire Taali team… Gauri Sawant, every single award I get for Taali is hers. Thank you,” she said while showing the trophy to her fans.

“I love you guys!!! #sharing #us #duggadugga ,” Sushmita wrote in the caption of the video.

“You all are an inspiration in my life. The amount you people do for me I can never be thankful enough,” the Aarya actress said.

Sushmita also mentioned that she has been missing her interactions with her fans. “It’s been a while. Somehow you guys always bring out this level of energy which wants to make me go conquer the world. Only you people can do that. So, I wanted to come on live and let you know that you are in my heart, in my prayers,” she remarked.

Talking about her upcoming projects, Sushmita said, “I’m waiting to gift you all a lovely body of work. I just don’t want to give you something for the sake of it. So, wait for it.”

Sushmita’s daughter Alisah also joined the live session and the Main Hoon Na actress playfully scolded her for being online instead of studying.
