Actress Surveen Chawla will walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for the second time after a gap of nearly 10 years.
“Cannes holds a special place in my heart and it is an incredible honour to be a part of this iconic red carpet. I’ve been fortunate enough to be attending one of the most prestigious events that would be attended by film enthusiasts, fashion experts and the biggest names in the entertainment industry,” the actress said.
“I look forward to showcasing a part of our vibrant culture through a high fashion lens!” she added.
Known for her role in the Netflix crime drama series Rana Naidu opposite Rana Daggubati, Surveen made her debut at the prestigious film festival in southern France in 2013 for Anurag Kashyap’s film Ugly.
The 38-year-old actress started her career with television shows like Kahin to Hoga and Kajjal. She went on to act in films such as Hate Story 2 (2014), Ugly (2013) and Parched (2015). She made her OTT debut with ALT Balaji’s web series Haq Se opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. She played an important role in Netflix’s first original Indian series Sacred Games.
